보니 타일러(Bonnie Tyler)는 1953년 영국 연방인 웨일즈 태어나 1970년대 후반부터 1980년대 중반까지 많은 인기를 얻은 가수이머 1984년 영화 풋루스(Footloose)의 사운드 트랙에 실린 강력한 보컬과 드럼 연주가 인상적인 곡으로 이후 TV 드라마의 주제곡으로 78년 발표 미국차트 3위 영국차트 4위에 올랐었다. 그리고 영화 "Footloose"의 주제곡인 "Holding Out For a Hero"는 84년도의 마이클 잭슨의 (Thriller)를 빌보드 앨범 차트 37주간 1위라는 대기록 달성에 마침표를 찍게 하는 쾌거를 울리며 보니 타일러는 7살 때부터 로컬 클럽에서 노래를 부른 선천적인 재능의 소유자로거친 허스키 보이스가 매력적인 팝 발라드 가수로 70년대 텔런트 콘테스트에 입상하면서 연예활동을 하였고, 1976년에 목 수술 후 더욱 풍성해지고 컨트리나 포크에 가까운 노래를 하고 당대 제작자였뎐 짐 스타인맨을 만나 웅장한 사운드에 가창력을 접목시킨 'It's A Heartache'로 UK 차트 3위, US 차트 밀리언 셀러를 기록했다.
