Neil Diamond
1941년 미국의 뉴욕의 부룩 클린의 빈민가에서 태어난 그룹 "Roas Runners"라는 그룹을 결성하고, 독학으로 작곡법을 마스터했다. 처음에는 대중의 관심을 끌지 못하다가 1964년Solitary Man,Cherry,cherry를 발표하면서부터 호응을 얻어 1973년 영화 갈매기의 꿈의 주제가로 아카데미 영화 음악상을 수상했다.
