Aerosmith
에어로스미스 (Aerosmith)는 1970년 보스턴의 뉴햄프셔에서 결성된 아메리칸 하드록의 제왕이었다. 이들은 첫 앨범을 발표했을 때 '미국의 롤링 스톤즈'라는 평을 받았다.핵심적인 조 페리의 기타 연주는 블루스뿐만 아니라 '50년대 로큰롤 기타에게서 받은 전형적인 스타일와 '80년대 헤비 메탈 밴드들과 '90년대 얼터너티브 록 밴드들 많은 영향을 주었으며, 하드 록 기타를 언급할 때 빼놓을 수 없는 중요한 인물이다. 에어로스미스의 보컬인 스티븐타일러의 딸인 '리브 타일러'는 영화 아마겟돈, 반지의제왕으로 유명한 주연 배우이다. 이들의 최고의 히트곡이자 명곡인 아마겟돈 OST의 'I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing' 등등, 이 곡 'Dream on'은 '73년 발매되어 좋은 평가를 얻었다. 'Get Your Wings', 'Toys In The Attic', 'Rocks' 등은 상업적으로도 좋은 성과를 얻었으나 스티븐 타일러가 오토바이 사고를 당하는 등 시련을 겪은 에어로스미스는 이들은 '83년 재결성하여 앨범 'Done With Mirrors', 'Permanent Vacation'을 발표했다. 싱글 차트 3위까지 오른 'Angel'로 이들은 잇따른 히트작 'Pump'를 내놓으며 '90년대에 들어서도 전혀 식지 않은 이들의 음악적 열정이 돋보이는 'Get A Grip'으로 시간이 지나도 변치 않는 열정의 밴드로 자리잡았다.
