본조비 (Bon Jovi)는 뉴욕의 한 라디오 방송국이 주최한 록 콘테스트에서 대상을 받은 후에 83년 메이져 레이블과 계약을 체결하고 84년 첫 앨범을 발매했다. 보컬 존 본조비(John Bon Jovi) 중심으로 5인조 그룹으로 1억 3천만장 이상의 앨범판매고를 기록하고 있는 초대형 록 그룹이다. 이들은 음악은 신나면서 듣기 편한 메탈로 대중화했으며 이들은 50개국 이상 3,400만이 넘는 2,600회의 공연을 하고  2009년 11월 20일부터 2010년 공연에서 '올해의 공연수익 王으로 기록을 세운 밴드로 기록되었다.
