The Raiders

They took the whole Cheroke nation  

 그들은 체로키 땅 전부를 가져갔네
put us on this reservation                            

우리를 이 보호구역에 쳐박아두고
Took away our ways of life tomahawk        

우리의 생활 방식 , 돌도끼

and the bow and knife                                        

그리고 활과 칼 마저 가져가 버렸네
Took away our native tongue                    

우리의 모국어도 빼앗고
taught their English to our young    

우리 아이들에게 영어를 가르쳤네
And all the beads we made by hand  

  그리고 우리가 손으로 꿴 구슬들은
are nowadays made in Japan         

  지금은 일본에서 만들어 내고 있다네
Cherokee people, Cheroke tribe      

체로키 사람들, 체로키 부족
so proud to live, so proud to die   

 자랑스럽게 살고 자랑스럽게 죽네

They took the whole Indian nation   

 그들은 인디안 부족 전부를 점령했네
locked us on this reservation     

   우리를 이 보호구역에 가둬놓았네
Though I wear a shirt and tie    

    내가 셔츠와 타이를 입기는 하지만
I"m still part redman deep inside    

나는 아직도 가슴 깊은 곳에선 인디언 이라네
Cherokee people, Cherokee tribe    

체로키 사람들, 체로키 부족

But maybe someday when they learn   

 언젠가는 그들도 알게 될 것이다
