화이트 스트라입스(The White Stripes)는 99년도에 The White Stripes도 데뷔했다.

빨간색 또는 흰색의 옷만을 고집하는 그들은 대부분 곡을 쓰고 기타에 보컬까지 '70년대 전 세계의 젊은이들을 영광케 하였던 명그룹 레드 제플린의 초기 사운드를 연상케 하고 조니 뎁을 닮았다는 생각되는 White는 디트로이트를 출발해서 영화배우로 변신도 했으며 또한, 그들은 데뷔 당시부터 남매인지. 연인인지 관계가 궁금했지만, 남매가 아니며 남매인척 하는 것은 컨셉이고, 실은 이혼한 부부다. De Still (2000) White Blood Cells (2001) Elephant (2003) Get Behind Me Satan (2005) Icky thump (2007) 그리고 싱글앨범들을 계속 내면서 점점 인기몰 '네오 게라지 록'의 붐을 일으켜 평론과 대중들을 통해 가장 폭발적인 인기를 누리는 영미 음악계에서 환대받는 2인조 혼성그룹 화이트 스트라 입스이다.
