세어(Cher)는 1946년 미국 캘리포니아주에서 태어난 그녀는, 프랑스인 부친과 체로키 인디언 모친 사이에서 태어난 혼혈아로 영화에도 진출하여 눈부신 활약을 했다. 가수로서도 솔로로 활동하면서 발표한 ＜Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves＞로 더욱 유명해질 수 있었으며, 1973년에는 ＜Harf Bleed＞을, 1974년에는 ＜Dark Lady＞ 같은 싱글을 계속 발표해, 밀리언 히트를 기록했다. 1979년에 영화 '롤러 부기'의 주제가인 'Hell on Holes'를 불렀으며, 앨범 'Take Me Home'을 발표하기도 했다. 영화 활동 외에도 모델로서도 대단한 지위에 있는 쉐어는, TV쇼의 사회를 맡아보기도 해, 다재다능한 활약을 펼쳐 보이고 있지만, 복잡한 애정 편력으로 팝계에 구설수를 만드는 여성 아티스트이기도 하다. 이 곡은 크리스티나 아길레라 주연으로 나온  영화 '벌레스크 클립' 중에서 세어(Cher)가 불렀다.
