Chris Rea
크리스 리(Chris Rea)는 1951년 영국 클리브랜드 출생으로 블루스 기타리스트 겸 싱어 송라이터이다. 23세때 '딥퍼플' 출신의 보컬리스트인 '데이빗 커버데일'이 결성한 그룹 'Magdelene'에서 활동했다. 1978년 솔로로 "Fools"란 곡으로 미국 챠트 NO. 10 그래미 신인상을 받았다. 목소리에서부터 듣는 이를 압도하는 허스키한 목소리와 우수에 젖은 듯한 스타일로 미국의 희망이라 불리는 록(Rock) 가수 브루스 스프링스틴(Bruce Springsteen)이 있다면 영국의 브루스 스프링스틴으로 불리기도 한다. 이 곡은 크리스마스를 위해서 집으로 운전 중이라는 노래로 크리스마스가 다가오면 생각나는 곡이다.
