비지스(Bee Gees)는 천상의 하모니와 빛나는 멜로디로 세대통합을 일궈낸 깁(Gibb) 형제가족 그룹으로 1958년 배리 깁과 쌍둥이 동생인 로빈 깁, 모리스 깁이 결성했다. 비지스는 브라더스 깁의 줄임말이다 Bee Gees는 가수 뿐만 아니라 작곡가로 1977년에는 영화 Saturday Night Fever  특히 디스코 분야에서 대단한 히트를 기록한 수많은 곡들을 만들어 냈다. 1960년대, 1970년대, 1980년대, 1990년대 까지 꾸준히 활동하면서 팝 역사상 최장기간 동안 활동을 했던 그룹 중의 하나로 오랫동안 정상의 인기를 구가하며 다양한 음악성을 섭렵해온 아티스트도 없었다. 1997년 로큰롤 명예의 전당에 헌액되었으며, 2015년 그래미상에서 평생공로상을 받았다. 비지스 멤버 중에서 막내였던 모리스 깁이 수술 중 장출혈로 사망, 그리고 2012년 로빈 깁(Robin Gibb)마저도 간암으로 사망해 더 안타까운 마음이다. 이 곡은 존 트래볼타 주연의 영화  '토요일 밤의 열기 ' (Saturday Night Fever)에서 크게 히트된 노래이다.
