케니 로저스(Kenny Rogers)는 1938년 출생으로 미국의 대표 컨트리가수이다.

10대 시절 두-왑(doo-wop) 그룹을 결성해 싱글 'The Scholars'를 발표할 정도로 천부적인 음악 실력을 인정받았고, 60년대 중반 보컬 그룹 '뉴 크리스티 미니스트럴 New Christy Minstrels' '퍼스트 에디션 The First Edition' 등을 거쳐 'Something's Burning' 'Just Dropped In' 'Tell It All Brother' 'Reuben James' 등을 잇달아 히트시키면서 흥겨운 컨트리 스타일의 싱글 'Lucille'이 빌보드 5위, 킴 칸스와 듀엣곡 'Don't Fall in Love With a Dreamer'를 4위,'Through the Years'(13위), 시나 이스턴과의 듀엣곡 'We've Got Tonight'(6위), 그리고 달리 파튼과의 듀엣곡 ' Islands in the Stream'이 빌보드 1위에 오르면서 70년대 베스트셀링 가수로 명성을 높였고, 80년대 중반 전후까지 거의 모든 음악 시상식에서 큰상을 독차지하는 그의 주옥같은 곡들은 그의 경력만큼이나 최절정기의 인기를 누렸다.
