낸시 윌슨(Nancy Wilson)는 1937년 오하이오에서 태어나 재즈 보컬리스트로서 재즈뿐만 아니라 팝과 R&B 등의 다양한 영역을 넓혀가며 어릴적부터 음악계의 신화적인 존재들인 냇 킹 콜(Nat King Cole), 빌리 엑스타인(Billy Eckstine), 루이스 조단(Louis Jordan), 디나 워싱턴(Dinah Washington), 루스 브라운(Ruth Brown), 지미 스코트(Jimmy Scott)음악 영향을 받아 'Like in Love' 시작으로 1964년 그래미 "How Glad I Am"으로 상을 수상, 에미상(Emmy Award) 시상식에 그녀의 텔레비전 시리즈인 'The Nancy Wilson Show' 그리고 냇 킹 콜, 사라 본(Sarah Vaughan) 등의 유명 뮤지션들과 투어를 돌기도 하였다. 지금까지 60장의 앨범을 냈고 이 중에는 피아노의 명인 램지 루이스(Ramsey Lewis)와 함께 한 'The Two of Us' 'Keep You Satisfied' 'Forbidden Lover' 'Nancy Now'  'A Lady with A Song' 'With My Lover beside Me'  'Love Nancy' 등 그리고 존 윌리암스(John Williams)와 보스턴 팝스 오케스트라가 협연한 'It Don"t Mean A Thing' 가스펠 가수 에드윈 호킨스(Edwin Hawkins)가 같이 한 'Joyful Christmas)  1997년에 발매된 'If I Had My Way' 등이 있다.
