Pat Benatar
팻베나타(Pat Benatar)는 1953년 뉴욕 브룩 클린 출신으로 1979년 In the Heat of the Night 이란 데뷔앨범을 발표하며 이 곡'Heartbreaker를 히트시켜 일약 스타덤에 올랐다. 1970년대 후반부터 1980년대 중반까지 대중적인 팝 록과 하드록을 적절히 배합한 록으로 당시를 풍미했던 팻베네타는 1980년도부터 1984년까지 그래미 최우수 여성 록가수 상을 4회 연속 수상했고, 4곡의 톱10 싱글과 9곡의 톱40 곡을 배출했다. 'If You Think You Know How To Love Me' 'We live for love' 'Treat Me Right' Helter Skelter ' 등 작은키로 4옥타브를 넘나드는 폭팔적인 가창력을 보여준 그녀는 '미스 다이너마이트'란 별명으로도 불리웠다. 이 노래 하트브레이커(heartbreaker)뜻은 자기는 관심이 없는데 상대편을 열중하게 하여 그 마음에 상처를 입히는 사람이다.
